WakeMed campus police officer shot and killed
GARNER, N.C.Β β A WakeMed campus police officer has died after being shot at a health care facility in Garner, North Carolina.
This happened around 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning.Β
Officials say 59-year-old Officer Roger Smith died after being involved in some type of struggle in the emergency department lobby.
The Garner Police Department says a person of interest is in custody.
