CORNELIUS, NC — Police have charged the man they say robbed a local convenience store Wednesday afternoon.
Harold McCoy, 42, has been charged with felony Common Law Robbery. Police say he robbed the Cashion’s Quik Stop on S. Main Street around 12:35pm.
McCoy allegedly asked the clerk for change for a dollar and then reached over into the cash register to grab money when it was opened. A suspect and vehicle description helped authorities track down McCoy at a Huntersville home. He was arrested with the help of Huntersville Police and CMPD.
Police say McCoy was also wanted on two felony warrants out of Iredell County for Larceny from the Person and being a Habitual Felon.
