CMPD investigating homicide in Uptown

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Uptown on Friday night, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

Around 11 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of 7th Street and Davidson Street to investigate a car crash.

Upon arrival, police said they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
