CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is investigating after a pedestrian was involved in a fatal hit and run accident in north Charlotte.
Police say the person was hit on W. Sugar Creek Road near I-85 Tuesday night. CMPD says that person has been pronounced dead.
CMPD has two inbound lanes of W. Sugar Creek blocked off while police investigate. No word on when the area will reopen.
Traffic is being routed around the closure.
