Charlotte is kicking off the holiday season this weekend with several major events across the city, providing a mix of dazzling lights, thrilling winter activities, and classic entertainment.

Light the Knights transforms Truist Field into a festive wonderland, highlighted by an ice-skating rink and a snow tubing slope.

WinterFest at Carowinds also opens this weekend and is known to be completely decked out with millions of lights, festive decorations, and towering Christmas trees.

For a captivating light display, head to Ballantyne’s Backyard for the fourth annual Carolina Holiday Lights Spectacular. This event lights up the 100-acre park with more than a million dazzling lights and festive displays along an expanded half-mile walking trail.

Lastly, the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra presents Home Alone in Concert at the Belk Theater. This unique experience features the beloved classic film playing on a large screen while the orchestra performs John Williams’ charming and delightful score live.
