GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Troopers are investigating a fatal accident that happened early Tuesday morning on Dallas-High Shoals Highway.Β
Investigators say the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Miles Road.Β A vehicle crashed into a tree.Β
The driver, 51-year-old Gloria Chacon-Hernandez, was killed in the accident. Troopers say she was on her way to work.Β Investigators believe speed was a factor.
