CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte residents will not be seeing noise walls along I-277.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation says they made the decision after reviewing the ballots submitted from residents who live along I-277 near the Fourth Ward in Uptown.
The NCDOT will move forward with the construction that will add managed lanes on I-77 from the Brookshire Freeway to N.C. 150 in Iredell County. The project is expected to be complete in 2018.
