Stolen Signs Heat Up Battle Over SC Town’s Incorporation
INDIAN LAND, SC — A vote to decide if a community should become a town is heating up. Voters in Indian Land are set to decide next month if the community should incorporate.
Political signs are now at the forefront of the debate after nearly 100 ‘vote yes’ signs were stolen and replaced with ‘vote no’ signs.
Opponents say it could bring a new layer of government, new taxes and no new services, while others say it would allow the town to keep a lot of the tax dollars they’re already paying.
The vote is set for march 27th.
