Charlotte Fire battles two-alarm apartment fire
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Fire is investigating a two-alarm apartment fire in East Charlotte.
The fire broke out at the Summit Ridge Apartments on Farm Pond Lane, south of Albemarle Road just after 5 a.m.
The battalion chief said 12 apartment units were affected by the fire, leaving the approximately two dozen people without a home.
No injuries were reported, but the cause of the fire was not released.
