The Union County Sheriff’s Office says warrants have been issued against a father and son accused of robbing several McDonald’s restaurant locations.
Deputies say Robert Fisher, 45, and his son Tyler Fisher, 24, are each charged with two counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, one count of Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, and 10 counts of Second Degree Kidnapping.
Robert Fisher is currently being held in Georgia on unrelated charges, and Tyler Fisher was arrested in Union County Friday afternoon after turning himself in.
Officials say the first robbery took place on September 10, 2017 at a McDonald’s in Wingate where Tyler worked. Deputies say the two men robbed the store at gunpoint, and forced the employees into the walk-in freezer.
In February 2018, the father and son struck again at two locations in Monroe and Wesley Chapel.
During each robbery they would enter the stores early in the morning while wearing masks. They would then target the safes, and move employees to the freezer at gunpoint before taking off in a bright red Dodge Ram pickup.
