The Chief of CMS Police says, there’s a safe school audit twice a year when auditors show up unannounced to check cameras and alarms. They also check how teachers respond to lockdowns.
CMS got a 19 million dollar safety upgrade in 2014. That’s when sign in systems were updated to scan visitor driver’s licenses and do instant criminal record checks. What else can schools do to ensure security?
