“Operation Spring Sweep” Leads To Multiple Drug Related Arrests And Charges

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office conducted “Operation Spring Sweep” Monday morning, which led to the arrest of multiple suspects on various drug related charges.

Of the more than 30 suspects that were wanted during this morning’s operation, 16 of them were arrested and charged. 15 are still wanted by officials.

“We target and go after suspected dealers based on community input as well as other information we receive here at the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. Repeat criminals are always on our radar and we will go after them vigorously every time,” says Sheriff Darren Campbell. “By arresting these suspects, we will make a dent in the drug business here in Iredell County. The drug business drives other types of crimes, larceny, break-in, robberies, prostitution and others. If you claim to have an addiction, please come and talk with us and we will help you all we can, however selling drugs is not the way to fight an addiction.”
