The Edge: Monks draw large crowds in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C.- An exciting day for the Charlotte community as the Buddhist Monks’ Walk for Peace arrives in our area. The group of monks arrived at Marion Diehl Park on Tyvola Road around 6 this evening. The group is on day 81 of a 120-day journey, covering 2,300 miles. According to their Facebook page, the goal is to “raise awareness of peace, loving kindness, and compassion across America and the world.” Their journey will end in mid February in Washington, D.C.
