Barbra Streisand Had Her Dog Cloned, Twice
People love their pets, but animals don’t live forever.
So, if you could buy a copy of your four legged friend, would you do it?
Barbra Streisand opened up to Variety and revealed that two of her puppies are actually clones of a dog she used to own.
Her dog Samantha died last year, but before is passed, Streisand had cells taken from the dog’s mouth and stomach.
Scientists used the cells to make two new dogs.
They looked so much alike, the singer had to dress them in different color sweaters to tell them apart.
We don’t know how much Streisand paid to clone her canines, but the procedure can run between $50,000 and $100,000.
