CIAA Kicks Into High Gear As The Tournament And Festivities Move Into Uptown

CHARLOTTE, NC — They’ve been playing basketball since Tuesday, but the CIAA tournament and the festivities surrounding it really shifted into high gear Thursday.

The games have moved to the Spectrum Center in Uptown, and tournament parties are tipping off across the Queen City.

More than 100,000 people are expected to visit Charlotte this weekend, and there is plenty to see both on and off the court.

Every CMPD officer will also be working tomorrow to keep the city safe during the CIAA tournament and Billy Graham’s funeral.
