Wells Fargo Laying Off 91 Employees In Fort Mill

FORT MILL, S.C. — Wells Fargo is terminating 91 positions from their mortgage operation in Fort Mill, South Carolina.

The company says the staffing changes are the result of continuing market changes, including improvements in delinquency and foreclosure rates and reduced demand for mortgage financing.

Wells Fargo says all team members affected by the layoffs are eligible to receive pay and benefits through September 19, 2015.

The company also says those team members will be eligible to participate in the company’s salary continuation plan for separation benefits based on their years of service with the company if they can’t find another position internally.
