CMPD Charges Suspect In Deadly March 2018 Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Detectives with CMPD have charged a man in connection to a north Charlotte homicide that happened back in March.

North Tryon Division patrol officers responded to an assist medic call for service on Atmore Street around 6:21am on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.  Upon arrival they located 37-year-old Damien Mack with an apparent gunshot wound.  Mack was pronounced dead on scene by Medic.

On November 7, CMPD says they arrested and charged 26-year-old Jamarr James with Mack’s murder.

The investigation is still ongoing.
