CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It’s today’s The Good, The Bad and The Weird with Kristine Zell.

The Good —  A 19 year-old took his 89 year-old great grandma to the senior prom because she didn’t get to go when she was younger. They went to dinner, took photos and danced.

He’s a good looking guy who could have taken another girl but instead he chose his mi-ma saying, ” I respect my elders greatly. They have a great influence on my life.”

The Bad — Scientists in China have found the secret to winning rock, paper scissors! They found that if someone wins a turn, they’ll stick with that for the next turn – so if they won with rock, they’ll throw rock again. If they lose, they’ll switch to whatever beat them.

The Weird –If you want your kid to succeed, just give them a middle initial. A study out of England found that people with a middle initial get treated as higher status.

Researchers think it’s because initials make people subconsciously think of the initials in prestigious titles like PhD.

They also found that people whose names are hard to pronounce had less credibility. So here’s a suggestion: Tom R Smith.
