Longtime Blowing Rock restaurant catches on fire
Bistro Roca, a popular restaurant and bar in Blowing Rock, caught on fire Sunday morning.
The Blowing Rock Police Department reported this morning that Wonderland Trail was closed from the 200 block to Laurel Lane due to a structural fire.
Firefighters responded to Bistro Roca, located at 143 Wonderland Trail, engulfed in flames. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the fire.
“Bistro Roca is currently experiencing a structure fire,” the Town of Blowing Rock posted on Facebook. “No injuries are reported. Thank you to our emergency services for their rapid response. Please give them room to operate. Very sad for a staple here in Blowing Rock.”
The cause of the fire is under investigation. This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
