A Kings Mountain Company Is Outfitting Students With Bulletproof Backpacks.

KINGS MOUNTAIN, NC — A Kings Mountain company is taking tech originally created for police officers and helping keep kids safe at school.

Premier Body Armor started making bulletproof backpack panels for police officers to use while undercover or off-duty, but Premier President Frank Stewart says the company is now seeing more purchases from concerned parents.

Stewart says the panels, which can be ordered online, are highly effective and stand up to shots fired from most hand guns.
