MARSHVILLE, N.C. — Officials are investigating a fatal fire just outside Marshville.
The fire was reported shortly after 6am on Hasty Road in Union County. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found the single story home heavily involved with fire. Human remains were later discovered inside the home.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. Check back for updates.
