Lenoir man charged with murder after early morning shooting

LENOIR, N.C. – A Lenoir man is facing a murder charge following a deadly early morning shooting in Caldwell County.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joshua Lovins after investigators say he shot Michael Watson. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office says it happened at a home on Honeycomb Place just after two Monday morning. Watson died at the scene. A 911 caller identified Lovins as the shooter.

Deputies say they found Lovins sitting in his car in the driveway of another house.
