CHARLOTTE, NC — Suspect faces multiple charges related to a string of burglaries throughout the fall of 2017.
Police say 21 warrants have been issued on 34-year-old Ivory LaVonda Chappell in connection to nine burglaries across the Charlotte area.
On March 14th, York County deputies found a large amount of stolen items in a motel room on Foothills Way in Fort Mill. According to officials, the room was being rented by Chappell.
CMPD had arrested Chappell on multiple outstanding warrants related to burglaries in Moore County the day before the items were found.
Detectives say the items found by the York County Sheriff’s Office, and additional information led them to identifying Chappell as the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing, and police say additional charges are expected.
