Deputies Charge 3 High Schoolers With Vandalism In Lincoln County
LINCOLNTON, NC — Deputies in Lincoln County have charged three high school students with multiple counts of vandalism after a tip from the School Resource Officer at Piedmont High School in Union County.
Adam Clark, 18, of Midland, NC, Cody Hedgecoe, 16, of Lincolnton, and Samantha Argo, 16, of Indian Trail, have each been charged with two counts of misdemeanor Injury to Real Property and one count of misdemeanor Conspiracy.
Deputies say the first vandalism cases were reported Saturday at New Vision Ministries on Clark’s Creek Road. Church staff told deputies the vandals had spray painted various symbols, including swastikas and “666,” on the parking lot, a trash dumpster, and a large LED sign.
Officials say several buildings and sidewalks at Lincolnton Middle School on Startown Road were also spray painted over the weekend.
On Monday, the School Resource Officer with the Union County Sheriff’s Office alerted deputies in Lincoln County to a possible lead on suspects. After an interview Tuesday morning, charges were filed.
Officials say each suspect received a $3,000 bond. Additional charges are expected to be filed by the Lincolnton Police Department.
