Pedestrian Seriously Injured After E. Charlotte Hit And Run, Suspect Still Wanted

CHARLOTTE, NC — A pedestrian that was hit by a car in east Charlotte has been transported with life threatening injuries.

Officials say the incident happened around 9:15pm in a Zaxby’s parking lot on Albemarle Road. Police say two men were intentionally hit by the suspect.

One victim was taken to CMC with serious injuries, and the other was taken with minor injuries.

Police say the suspect was in a 2013 Hyundai Sonota that was reported stolen around 8:49pm. The vehicle was found a short time later, according to police, and had damage to the windshield.

K-9 units responded, but were unable to find the suspect.
