Panthers LB Thomas Davis Suspended For Four Games

Panthers veteran linebacker Thomas Davis is defending himself after a failed drug test.
He posted a two minute video on Twitter explaining to fans what happened.
“I’ve never tested positive for steroids or HGH. This is not one of those situations. It ended up being an estrogen blocker that triggered a positive test for me.” David said.
“I just want you guys to know that in no way would I ever do anything, like I said to cheat this game, or to try to create a competitive advantage over anybody. I’ve always tried to do things the right way and that’s something I’ll continue to do when I’m able to get back on the field. I can honestly tell you guys that my conscience is clear in this situation.”

Davis says he was completely caught off guard, because he’s been taking the same supplements for the past seven or eight years and had never tested positive for a banned substance before.

Thomas Davis’ wife and Edge contributor Kelly Davis is defending her husband, tweeting: “One thing I know for sure is that my husband is not a cheater. If he was going to take a banned substance, it would have been after all of the terrible injuries he had, including 3 ACL tears.”
