CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two suspects were taken into custody after speeding through Charlotte while on the run from police.
The incident started shortly after a shooting was reported in west Charlotte. A vehicle was seen in the area driving erratically. A police helicopter followed the vehicle as it weaved through traffic, often running red lights and stop signs.
The vehicle finally stopped on I-85 in Gaston County near the McAdenville exit. The occupants of the vehicle, Reco Perry and Tahjah Quarles, ran from the scene and were later taken into custody in a wooded area.
Police say the men were involved in the shooting of the two people in west Charlotte. Learn more about that shooting HERE.
