Charges Filed in Dead Dogs Investigation
LENOIR, N.C. – Charges have been filed in the case of the dead dogs found in the woods in Lenoir. This is an update to a story first on WCCB News @ Ten last week.
Caldwell County Animal Control has obtained eight counts of misdemeanor disposal of domesticated dead animals for both 33-year-old Mary Rogers, the woman who used to live in the dilapidated trailer in Lenoir where the dogs are believed to have once lived, and a man who used to live with her, 35-year-old Solomon Norwood.
Norwood tells WCCB he had “no involvement in the matter.” Rogers has not replied to multiple requests for comment.
County officials say the investigation is ongoing.
