Chick-Fil-A presents $200,000 grant to Least of These Carolinas

GASTONIA, N.C. – A Gastonia non-profit got a big check from Chick-Fil-A on Tuesday. The fast-food chain donated $200,000 to Least of These Carolinas, which supports children in foster care. The check is part of Chick-Fil-A’s True Inspiration Awards program.

The woman who runs the the non-profit says the cash will help them continue to expand. Co-founder Susanna Kavanaugh explains, “We’re going statewide, so this will help fund that statewide. We believe that every child in foster care in North Carolina deserves the services that we have to provide. And so what Chick-Fil-A has basically done is put…a spotlight on us so that we can continue to serve these children well across the state.”
