Bomb threat made at Hunter Huss High School, police say

GASTONIA, N.C. – A bomb threat was made at Hunter Huss High School on Thursday, according to the Gastonia Police Department.

Just after 9 a.m., police were notified of a bomb threat made to the school that was written on the bathroom wall. There was also a suspicious package located nearby in the same bathroom, police said.

The student that wrote the message was identified and the threat was determined to be a hoax, police said. The package found inside the bathroom had no hazards.

No students or staff were harmed from the situation.

Police said charges are pending.
