A man is dead after a residential fire in Harrisburg on Saturday morning, according to the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 7:40 a.m., first responders were called to the Abbington neighborhood in Harrisburg about a reported residential fire.
Upon arrival, they located a man dead inside the residence. Firefighters extinguished the blaze shortly thereafter.
The cause of the fire and the man’s death is under investigation.
