CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD has identified the victim who died from injuries after being hit late Monday night while skateboarding in north Charlotte.
Police say Brandon Lagasse died Tuesday after being taken to CMC with life threatening injuries. Lagasse was hit by a 1997 Dodge Lancer around 11:29pm Monday, according to CMPD, while skateboarding in the travel lane of West W.T. Harris Boulevard.
Police say it was raining, and Lagasse was wearing dark clothing in an area that was not well lit when the accident happened. Investigators say speed and alcohol were not factors.
The investigation is ongoing.
