MONROE, N.C. (WCCB) — The Monroe Police Department says two of their officers were sent to the hospital following a traffic collision earlier Friday morning while en route to an emergency call for a person suffering a cardiac arrest. The multi-car collision involving the officers occurred on West Roosevelt Blvd near Stafford Street.
Both officers involved in the crash were taken to a local hospital to be treated. One officer sustained a concussion, and the other is receiving stitches for a cut to the head. Both officers are expected to recover from their injuries.
