Former Sycamore Brewing co-owner indicted on child sex charges, court records show

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A grand jury indicted the former co-owner of Sycamore Brewing months after he was arrested for statutory rape of a child, court records show.

Justin Brigham, 44, was indicted on Monday, March 2 in Stanly County. Brigham faces multiple felony charges related to the incident that happened on Dec. 10, 2025.

On that day, Brigham is accused of breaking into a home on Furr Road in Stanly County and raping a 13-year-old child. Court records said that he was communicating with the victim on Snapchat and through texts.

Brigham’s charges include three counts of statutory rape of a child under 15, first-degree burglary, assault inflicting serious injury, and soliciting a child by computer.

Brigham co-founded and co-owned Sycamore Brewing with his wife, Sarah Taylor, in 2013. Following his arrest, the brewery closed its doors before legally changing its name to Club West Brewing in January. Taylor, now the sole managing member of the brewery, is also in the process of filing for divorce against Brigham.

Brigham will be arranged on March 30.Β
