CMPD investigating deadly shooting of woman in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A murder investigation is underway in east Charlotte. CMPD says a woman was shot several times just off Central Avenue at the Pepper Tree Apartments around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon. She died at the scene.
