CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police are investigating an accident in north Charlotte that killed one person and injured another on Thursday afternoon.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. on Statesville Road and Twin Lakes Parkway. Medic said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was seriously injured and transported to Atrium CMC.
Statesville Road was shut down for several hours while police investigated.
CMPD is investigating what led up to the crash.
