Cultural Appreciation Or Appropriation?

The teen found a traditional Chinese dress in a vintage store and thought it was pretty, so she wore it to prom. People on Twitter retweeted saying, my culture is not your prom dress.

The teen says, she’s not deleting her prom pics and that she means no disrespect to the Chinese culture… she’s simply showing her appreciation to their culture.

Is it cultural appreciation or appropriation?
