Authorities Searching For Missing Gaston County Inmate

DALLAS, N.C. — Authorities are searching for a missing inmate in Gaston County.  Officers say Montavious Miller was reported missing from the Gaston Correctional Center.

Miller was being housed in a minimum custody facility.

Miller was last seen at the facility on Wednesday at 7:30pm and reported missing at 9pm.  Miller, 34, is a black male, 5’9″ tall, weighs 204 lbs and has a shaved head and brown eyes.

He was serving a 10-year, 8-month sentence as a habitual felon and was admitted to prison in August of 2013, according to a news release.  He was scheduled for release on December 12, 2021.
