Carolina Panthers trade QB Andy Dalton

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) — The Carolina Panthers have completed a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles to acquire a seventh-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft in exchange for quarterback Andy Dalton, the team announced on Tuesday.

Dalton was signed by Carolina as an unrestricted free agent in 2023 and appeared in 10 games with six starts over three seasons with the team, totaling 1,643 passing yards and 10 touchdown passes.

In his 15-year career with Cincinnati (2011-19), Dallas (2020), Chicago (2021), New Orleans (2022), and Carolina (2023-25), Dalton has totaled 39,793 passing yards, the second-most among all active players, and 254 touchdown passes, the fourth-most. He was originally selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round (35th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft out of TCU.
