One person injured after shots fired on Central Avenue

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Mecklenburg Police blocked off traffic Wednesday night after a shooting on Central Avenue near Rosehaven Drive. It happened around 8:00pm.

WCCB saw a crime scene investigator collecting what appeared to be shell casings from the ground in front of Woodford Apartments. CMPD did not respond to the inquiry for a public narrative on the incident.

MEDIC says crews responded to the scene where they found one person with non-life threatening injuries that had not been shot.
