STATESVILLE, N.C. — Investigators say a Statesville man has been arrested for sexually assaulting two children.
One of the victims, an 8-year-old girl, told officials the abuse happened at the victim’s and suspect’s home between April 1, 2012 and July 2, 2014.
The suspect, Donald Rhoades II, has been charged with three felony warrants of first degree sex offense with a child. Rhoades received a $250,000 bond.
Two of the charges were for the juvenile female victim and the other charge was for the juvenile male victim.
Rhoades II was placed on the sex offender registry for a 2005 conviction in South Carolina for felony committing lewd act upon a child under 16.
