Checkers End Season With 5-1 Loss To Phantoms In Second Round Of Playoffs
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Checkers ended their season with a 5-1 loss to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms at Bojangles Coliseum on Saturday.
This second round playoff series was the first time all season that the Checkers lost three games in a row at home.
Phantoms Goalie Alex Lyons went nearly 166 minutes without allowing a goal before Roland McKewon scored the Checkers’ first goal in more than 100 shot attempts against Lyons.
