Two Men Charged With Robbery Of Charlotte Cricket Store

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two men have been charged with robbery after stealing cellphones from a Charlotte business.

On Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at 6:45 p.m., CMPD officers responded to a robbery at the Cricket store located at 7309 E. Independence Boulevard.

An investigation determined that a suspect went into the store and used physical force to take two cellphones before fleeing the scene in a pickup truck being driven by a second suspect.

Detectives were able to identify the suspects as 37-year-old  Denardis Kilgo and 51-year-old Eric Thortsen.

Eric Thorsten was located and arrested in Waxhaw on May 17th.  He is charged with Common Law Robbery and Felony Conspiracy.

Denardis Kilgo was located and arrested in Matthews on May 18th.  He is charged with Common Law Robbery.
