Davidson Co. government worker charged in CMS bus crash

ROWAN CO., N.C. – A Davidson County government worker is facing charges over a serious crash involving a CMS bus. It happened Wednesday on Highway 150 in Rowan County, while 45 kindergarten students were on a field trip.

State troopers say the Davidson County worker suffered a medical episode, veered left, and hit the bus head-on. Nobody on board was hurt, but the county worker, along with a minor in the car with her, were hospitalized.

That driver is facing charges for not wearing a seatbelt and driving left-of-center.
