Ada Jenkins Center BBQ Davidson, NC – On October 4, the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson will host our annual community FIRE! BBQ Dinner, complete with a BBQ competition, Cornhole Tournament, and Kid‘s Funzone. FIRE! 2014 will begin at 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. More than 1,000 guests attended last year‘s BBQ, and we‘ll heat things up again with a BBQ competition. Local Grillmasters will begin cooking on Friday night, vying for the top prize! The addition this year of a Cornhole Tournament adds a new element of fun for the day. Bring your team, as the boards will be provided, and the winning team takes home a cash prize. A special “Piglet Park” Funzone will be available for kids of all ages. Sponsors include Chiquita, as well as individuals in the community. Tickets to enjoy FIRE! 2014 can easily be purchased online at www.adajenkins.org or at the Ada Jenkins Center. With a broad array of medical, youth education, crisis assistance and economic independence programs, the Ada Jenkins Center has a history of stretching funds to ensure this wide array of services remain available to the Lake Norman community. From June 2012 to June 2013, the Center provided more than 18,500 services to 5,267 neighbors in need.
