Charlotte Could Be A Future Host For The NFL Draft

ATLANTA, GA — The NFL announced upcoming Super Bowls for New Orleans and Arizona today, and Nashville as the site for the 2019 NFL Draft. Charlotte could also be a contender, but on down the road.

This season’s Super Bowl will take place in Mercedes Benz Stadium here in Atlanta. Charlotte may be a long way from hosting the sport’s biggest game, but there is another marquee event that could come to the Queen City.

The NFL used to hold the draft in New York every year, but decided to take the show in the road in 2015. In part, it was to bring a huge NFL event to cities not in line to host the Super Bowl.

Chicago, Philadelphia and Dallas have hosted, and Nashville is up next. Speculation is that Charlotte could be a draft destination as new owner David Tepper takes control of the team.

This year’s draft was the highest-rated and most watched ever.

The three-day event would bring exposure and football fans to the Queen City.
