Warrants obtained for 2 suspects in fatal Salisbury hit-and-run
SALISBURY, N.C. – Arrest warrants have been obtained for two suspects wanted for a deadly hit-and-run in Salisbury back in February, according to the Salisbury Police Department.
Tavita Diaz and Victor Morales are each wanted for three counts of felony passenger fleeing the scene of a crash resulting in serious injury or death.
Around 10:40 p.m. on Feb. 20, the suspects’ vehicle turned left from South Main Street onto Airport Road and collided with four southbound motorcyclists, police said.
One of the motorcyclists, Jody Holloman, died at the scene. Two other motorcyclists sustained serious injuries in the crash.
Right after the collision, three people – Diaz, Morales, and another individual – exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
