GASTONIA, NC — Three home invasions in 30 minutes. Police say thieves stole thousands of dollars worth of stuff and terrified residents.
The robberies started just after midnight on North Ransom Street. Police tell us the gunmen were in and out quickly. Sometimes it was just two guys, another time victims say four men broke into their home.
One victim says the suspects told his fiancee their car broke down. “She said, ‘Hey, two guys are here, their car broke down, they need to use a phone.’ And we’re real nice people; I got up, came to bring the phone to them, and no sooner they got the phone and they’re pointing a gun right to my head” said Gastonia resident Michael Weaver.
