CHARLOTTE, N.C. — President Obama and lawmakers are reviewing the use of military equipment in police departments across the country.
The review comes after unarmed black teenager Michael Brown was killed at the hands of a white officer in Ferguson Missouri.
Violent clashes between protesters and police broke out in response to the shooting. Those clashes and the police response with military equipment led to public scrutiny of police departments across the country, including here in the Charlotte area.
WCCB news @ 10 Anchor Morgan Fogarty has been investigating the issue.
