Bahakel Communications is seeking an experienced technical operator. The qualified candidate should have at least 1 year directing live news (or relevant experience) or a minimum of 3 years of LIVE technical experience (Audio/Studio/Graphics/Master Control).
This position is responsible for the clean technical execution of our newscasts. Candidate must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and have excellent interdepartmental communication skills.
- Qualified applicants must be able to work flexible schedules as determined by Bahakel’s operational needs.
- Qualified applicants must have reliable transportation to from the office.
- Qualified applicants must be able to lift/move up to 40 pounds in an active fast paced studio environment.
Primary Duties
Collaborate (to provide creative input and ideas) with the lead director, the newscast producers, and production staff in efforts to increase our overall production values.
Responsible for the execution of evening and weekend shows including:
- WCCB/WOLO News Weekends (Director).
- WCCB/WOLO News (Assistant Director/Audio/Graphics).
- WCCB Studio support (as needed).
- PTO coverage (as needed).
Secondary Duties
- Audio (3 days per week).
- Graphics (as needed).
- Studio (as needed).
- Master Control (back-up).
- Sports/Entertainment technical production (as needed).
